The rain season with the growth and reproduction of plants and animals: The tarkeada and pinkillada act as mediators between the world of the living, that of the divinities and that of the ancestors.

Traditionally, the tarkeadas and pinkilladas appear with the celebration of the All Saints Festivity, extending throughout the whole rain season. Therefore, their use is related with the invocation to the ancestors and fertility propitiation rites.

The music engendered by tarka is called tarkeada and that by pinkillu is named pinkillada, and they have a very festive character.
