The Andean populations have been victims of the falsification of their Incan history, as well as of a massive censorship on the part of the colonial power. Therefore, not only were they deprived of their roots, but also, of the acceptance of their philosophy.<\/p>\n

Thus, although many indigenous people consider themselves as descendants of the Incas, they practically know nothing about their ancestors\u00b4 history, since the Incan heritage is an enigma, with very limited explanations, and their religion has no name. Across the Andes, the Andean population lives with a history without historicity.<\/p>\n

The purpose of our seminars is to relate the past with the present, reflecting and pondering, in order to understand that history is not transitory, but rather that it is a fundamental component of the present.<\/p>\n

About 20 dance groups are part of the pompous celebrations dedicated to the Mamachas (Virgins), their relations with history and mythology. The Qhapaq Ch\u00b4unchus\u00b4 dance, representing the Spanish Crown\u00b4s dominion over the Incas, its choreography and symbolism.
