Zampoña CourseIt is the Andes´ emblematic instrument and is very simple to learn, as only blowing directly in the pipes already produces sound. Of pre-Columbian origin and widely spread on an international level, the standard contemporaneous Zampoña is diatonic, tempered to the universal musical system (440Hz) and generally made with bamboo pipes.
Traditionally, its execution is performed in a collective way, in orchestral forms (sikuris, chiriguanos, ayarachis, etc), particularly in the regions of alto Peru (Puno - Lake Titicaca) and Bolivia. However, the soloist execution of this instrument by Peruvian musicians as well in the rest of the Andean countries is also widely used in today´s musical world.

PANORAMA OF THE THEMATIC CONTENTS:

-
Sinp´ay or braiding; the musical dialog technique
- Introduction to the movement´s dynamics practiced by the indigenous communities, simultaneously with the zampoña´s execution
- Contemporaneous soloist execution
- Diverse articulations, musical adornments, types  of vibratos - exercises and studies
- Use of the chromatic Siku or zampoña in contemporaneous music
- Introduction to the stylistic forms by regions and time periods.
