Peru´s Cultural Treasure is kept by its ethnic groups; that human collectivity which has its own language, religion, philosophy and way of life. Their cosmovision and conception of life and nature are completely different from that of the Occidental way of thinking. Machu Picchu, Saqsaywaman, as well as all the other archaeological complexes and the remains kept in museums, for sure, are a sample of what is left of the Incan and pre-Incan cultures. However, if we think about a live and valid substrate of the ancestral Andean culture, there is no doubt that we are talking about these ethnic groups who persist in the face of all these changes, as well as exogenous social and cultural influences and go on passing their customs and traditions down, in an oral form, from generation to generation, throughout the centuries.
Here, we have designed new packages that will allow you to connect with these live cultures of the Andes, in their real and spontaneous context. Therefore, the Apulaya - Center for Andean Culture guarantees that you won´t be confronted with commercial clichés.
During workshops, we will learn about the Andean culture in an analytical and comparative way, from ancestral civilizations, all the way to present days.
