CALCA

Calca - Perú

Reknowned for its extraordinary landscape, calca is one the more important places in the sacred valley of the Incas.

Calca offers a temperate annual climate with hot springs to renovate the spirit , friendly people and archeological ruins. Picturesque and charismatic, calca is perfect for rest and relaxation. During Inca times, calca was an important population center, with strategic administrative organization. Nearby are the sacred snow peaks of Sawasiray and Pitusiray from which the myth of Pitusiray originates.

Calca is located 50 km.(30 miles) north of the city of cusco, at 2928 meters (9,600ft.) and temperatures averaging between 15 degrees – 25 degrees (50- 70degrees F. ).
