RELIGIOUS LIFE IN THE ANDES: The reality of the religious phenomenon in today´s Andean ethnic society, religious syncretism, the presence of other churches and religious denominations, as well as their influence on the changes that took place in the Andean cultural and religious tradition.

ANDEAN MYTHS AND RITUALS: We will approach the Andean cosmovision and cosmo-genesis, along with the diverse types of rites in the Andes and the Andean ritual calendar. With the presence of a Paqo (Andean Shaman), we will interpret the symbolism of each ritual element and process and the relation the Andean man has with nature and its deities and thus, his way of thinking.

TRADITIONAL MEDICINE: The Andean healing practice is a mixture of magic and medicine. We will get to know a few ways of establishing a diagnosis and healing various physiological and psychic diseases. Here, you will have a chance to mix and use different medicinal plants.

TEXTILES: Interpretation of the symbolism of the diverse iconographic forms of textile art, starting from pre-Columbian textiles and going to present day icons of different regions and peoples, along with their relationship with the Andean cosmovision and idiosyncrasy, as well as with their social, economic and religious organization. Here, you will experiment weaving some icons under the guidance of Guillerma Ñawpa; an indigenous woman who has inherited the art of weaving from her ancestors.
