Three Days of Balance, Inspiration and Creativity

NATURAL RESERVE OF YANACOCHA

If you are thinking to travel to Peru and to spend your holiday immersed in the Andean art and culture, we have designed an exclusive program which includes classes of painting combined with an unforgettable trip.

In the Sacred Valley of the Incas, on the heights of Huayoqari, is situated the Natural Reserve of Yanacocha. It is an intact paradise in the Andes, where you will breathe clean air and experience its marvelous diversity of native flora and fauna. The lagoon called Yanacocha (Black Lagoon) is surrounded by old trees and it seems to want to tell us about the past. So, it invites you to retreat in a timeless world full of mysticism and tranquility…

Through meditative contemplation and concentration, we will be immersed in the pure beauty of nature in such a way that we will assimilate its landscape´s ambiance.
After this process of internalization, we´ll draw sketches that will help us to refresh our inspiration during the workshops on the following day, when we will paint  what we´ve perceived in watercolour or natural pigments.

The workshops are combined with Hamutay Andean philosophy. Also enjoy our evenings of pre-Incan arts, along with a series of documentary films, in a cozy and familiar environment, with our exquisite “ponche” (hot Andean beverage) and sweets.

SCHEDULE:

1. DAY

	8.30	We´ll pick you up at your hotel (in cusco) with a private transportation.
	10.00	Arrival in Calca with a welcome beverage
	10.30	Workshop: We´ll learn different techniques in watercolour painting in order to capture landscapes, their surrounding environments and flora
	12.00	Lunch
	13.00	Workshop: Application of the techniques we’ve learned
	14.40	Coffee break
	15.00	Workshop
	16.30	Coffee break
	16.50	workshop
	18.00	Dinner (vegetarian dish available)
	19.30	Evening program on the pre-Incan people´s cosmovision, Mochica culture, its art and iconography.

2. DAY

		Breakfast at the hotel
	8.00	Departure to Yanacocha
	8.30	Walking from Huayoqari to Yanacocha
	10.30	Relaxation with drinks, fruit and snacks
	11.00	Time and space to connect with nature, explore, contemplate, meditate and draw sketches
	12.30	Picnic
	13.30	Using meditation and concentration, we´ll internalize the environmental landscape And we´ll draw sketches.
	16.00	Return to Huayoqari
	18.00	Dinner in Urubamba
	20.00	Return to Calca with private transportation

3. DAY:

		Breakfast at the hotel
	9.00	Workshop: We´ll paint in watercolour what we assimilated in Yanacocha, Juices, coffees and “mates” (herbal teas) are available at your discretion
	12.00	Lunch
	13.00	Workshop
	16.00	Inauguration of our works accompanied by Andean snacks and beverages
	17.00	End – Return to Cusco or any equivalent destination, with a private transportation.

RECOMMENDATIONS: Clothing adequate for both warm and cold temperatures (Layers of clothing would seem most functional).
Sun blocking lotion, hat, rain coat (only for the rainy season from October to May).
